Plug the guitar into a regular amp and try a new cable. A little bit ago, one of my songs randomly started making crackling, popping, and scrubbing noises when I it play back on garageband. If the guitar is crackling and popping through different cables and amps check the input jack and ground wires. It happened with a Allen & Heath ZED-10 board (with stereo usb output). Now it does it on every project in my garageband, and it doesn't stop unless I mute every single track on a project. A guitar tech or some YouTube vids would be better than just jumping in. Jul 26, 2011 · I am exactly having the same issue: Apogee one into garageband, having more than 5-6 tracks starts crackling sounds. Have since used a Line 6 kb-37 and my current mainstay interface, Behringer UMC404HD and have not had that problem.
